Where is Coventry Transport Museum?

In brief

Formerly known as the Museum of British Road Transport, the Coventry Transport Museum opened in 1980. It has a collection of more than 240 cars and commercial vehicles, 100 motorcycles and 200 bicycles. It's also home to Thrust 2 and Thrust SSC, British jet car land speed record holders. The new frontage of the museum was built after 2002, and had a redevelopment of 12 out of the 14 galleries in 2015. The museum was free entry until 2019, but since 2020 there has been an entrance fee.

From 1980 until 2019, the museum was free to enter, this all changed from 2020 when they introduced an admission fee. It is £14 for adults, there is other price ranges for children and consessions.

But it is free entry to the cafe (of course you have to pay for your coffee and food). Esquires Cafe was next door until 2021. Since 2022 it has been called Baxter Baristas @ 16 Hales Street
