Solihull Shul - details

The foundation stone was laid in 1977 by David Zissman (later Sir David Zissman, was a councillor in Birmingham City Council and one time Lord Mayor of Birmingham).

The full name of Solihull Shul is the Solihull & District Hebrew Congregation, the only Jewish community in the West Midlands county outside of Birmingham.

By 2001 through generous donations they were able to fully purchase the land that the shul is located on in Solihull.

Members of the congregation either live in Solihull or Birmingham.

The community centre is open during the week as a warm space, somewhere to play games etc, eat food.
