Built of red brick with terracotta dressings.
It was designed by Samuel Owen of Owen & Ward.
The pub has an octagonal turret with clock faces on two sides facing the High Street.
The entrance from York Road has height glazed tiling with Art-Nouveau designs.
The tiling continues up a stairwell.
